from a long journey of exploration, healing, and manifestation. Throughout the highs and lows of my life, I have walked through anxiety, depression, and a lost sense of self that has found me feeling “stuck” in more than one season of change.
I am a mother of a child with a disability, a divorcee, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and spent years as a single mom of two. I have felt loss, grief, and have struggled endlessly with expectations - which inevitably just made me suffer and feel physical, mental, and emotional pain.
which I started to help alleviate anxiety and depression, deepened when I decided to enroll in a 200 Hour RYT training. I never thought that I wanted to teach yoga, only that I needed to deepen my practice to continue my journey toward health and a stronger sense of well being and balance.
As soon as I taught my first “practice class” everything inside of me clicked into alignment. Intentions from my past were connecting with my future - and I felt my voice in a new way for the first time. I knew that I could help others to feel connection to themselves, those they loved, and share a piece of the peace of mind that I felt on this path. I could help them to remember that they are enough - just the way they are!
At the time, I was working exclusively with the addiction/recovery community as a sober advocate and I was searching for ways to get through to clients in early recovery. This is how I found Health and Wellness Coaching! Being able to talk with my clients about how the whole body, mind, and spirit work together to create our wellbeing - our joy and purpose- is absolutely precious to me.
I also started to realize how closely and intricately the qualities and experiences of being a parent to a child with a disability, and a person in early recovery, are shared. We both feel underlying loss, grief, and often shame for a life that we thought we would have… and through time we realize the BEAUTY of the life that we lead. In turn, my work with these two particular groups of humans flourished, and expanded.
the interconnectedness of everyone. Through my journey I’ve come to believe that when we make space for love, greatness, success, ease, health, peace … the things we want in our lives… when we set intentions and goals to get there, the path shows its way and the work we need to do becomes more obvious. These lives we lead as human beings are exceptionally hard - but with each other's help we can realize that there is grace in the breakdown and beauty in the rising back up.
I'm so glad to see that you are on your path of searching for your own journey towards holistic well being and joy! I hope to stand next to you as you find your way through the fear, barriers, and missteps toward a more holistic you!

If you want to go far, go together."

my daughter's name is Maggie (Mags for short) and I used to always sing Blackbird by the Beatles to my son, Nick. I have a tattoo of three Magpie birds that is a reminder for me of our time of growth together, when it was just me and them, making our way through this beautiful life. Three Birds Wellness is, after all, the product of the paths that I’ve chosen and all of those “next right steps” that I’ve taken - and so with that, a special, unique, meaningful logo was born!
